Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to eight Sutton establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight of Sutton’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to six restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Bar & Block at Premier Inn Sutton, St Nicholas Way, Sutton; rated on January 18

• Rated 5: Robin Hood Junior School Kitchen at Robin Hood Junior School, Thorncroft Road, Sutton; rated on January 18

• Rated 5: Sowa Patisserie at Unit 2 Level 1, St Nicholas Centre, St Nicholas Way, Sutton; rated on January 18

• Rated 5: Sutton Play Service at Robin Hood Junior School, Thorncroft Road, Sutton; rated on January 18

• Rated 5: Pizza Express at 19-21 High Street, Sutton; rated on January 16

• Rated 5: Trinco at Unit 3 Level 1, Times Square Shopping Centre, High Street, Sutton; rated on January 4
