Good news as food hygiene ratings given to 15 Southwark establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 15 of Southwark’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to nine restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Crown & greyhound at The Crown And Greyhound, 73, Dulwich Village, London; rated on January 25

• Rated 5: The vineyard at 3, Camberwell Grove, London; rated on January 24

• Rated 5: Brix ldn at 16, Great Guildford Street, London; rated on January 23

• Rated 5: Everyman cinema at 3, Dirty Lane, London; rated on January 23

• Rated 5: Sabor peruano at 103, Newington Butts, London; rated on January 23

• Rated 5: Oblix at The Shard, 31, St Thomas Street, London; rated on January 22

• Rated 5: Lexington catering at Mezz Riverside House, 2a, Southwark Bridge Road, London; rated on January 15

• Rated 5: Hca international ltd at Guys Hospital Cancer Centre, Great Maze Pond, London; rated on January 9
