Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to 19 Southwark establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 19 of Southwark’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to 14 restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Nandos at 225-227, Clink Street, London; rated on June 21

• Rated 5: Level 1 terrace bar & cafe at Level 1 Tate Modern, Sumner Street, London; rated on June 20

• Rated 5: Searcys tansley& co ltd t/a thebrigade bar +kitcen at Ground Floor And First Floors, 139, Tooley Street, London; rated on June 20
