New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Southwark’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Maxy's fried chicken, at 175, New Kent Road, London was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on June 13.

And Shanghai suprise, at 31, Bagshot Street, London was also given a score of three on June 13.

It means that of Southwark's 472 takeaways with ratings, 262 (56%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
