Good news as food hygiene ratings given to 11 Richmond establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 11 of Richmond’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to nine restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Genji Sushi at 1-3 Lower George Street, Richmond; rated on December 15

• Rated 5: L'assaggino at 9 Paved Court, Richmond; rated on December 15

• Rated 5: GAIL's Teddington at 60-62 Broad Street, Teddington; rated on December 14

• Rated 5: Heng Heng Richmond Ltd at 59 Sheen Road, Richmond; rated on December 14

• Rated 5: Kiss the Hippo at 21 Sheen Road, Richmond; rated on December 14

• Rated 5: Annapurna Nepalese Restaurant at 199 Upper Richmond Road West, East Sheen, London; rated on December 11

• Rated 5: La piazza at 68 Richmond Road, Twickenham; rated on December 11

• Rated 5: Starbucks Coffee Company at 70 High Street, Teddington; rated on December 4

• Rated 5: Shambles Wine Bar at 83 High Street, Teddington; rated on October 20
