106 further coronavirus cases and one more death recorded in Redbridge

The number of coronavirus cases in Redbridge increased by 106 in the last 24 hours, official figures show – and one more death was recorded.

The number of coronavirus cases in Redbridge increased by 106 in the last 24 hours, official figures show – and one more death was recorded.

A total of 47,839 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 in Redbridge when the UK coronavirus daily dashboard was updated on November 5 (Friday), up from 47,733 on Thursday.

The rate of infection in Redbridge now stands at 15,651 cases per 100,000 people, higher than the England average of 13,885.

Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 33,697 over the period, to 9,241,916.

There was also one more coronavirus death recorded in the latest 24-hour period in Redbridge.

The dashboard shows 780 people had died in the area by November 5 (Friday) – up from 779 on Thursday.

It means there have been three deaths in the past week, which is the same as the previous week.

They were among 16,788 deaths recorded across London.

The figures include anyone who died within 28 days of a positive test result for Covid-19, and whose usual residence was in Redbridge.

Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death.

Because of technical issues, vaccination data has not been provided today for local authorities in England and Scotland.
