A Newham takeaway has been handed a new one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Golden Sands Chinese Food, a takeaway at 1 Freemasons Road, Canning Town, London was given the score after assessment on May 5, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newham's 321 takeaways with ratings, 138 (43%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
