A Newham takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Canton Chinese Takeaway, a takeaway at 6a Leytonstone Road, Stratford, London was given the score after assessment on January 12, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newham's 309 takeaways with ratings, 129 (42%) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
