A Newham takeaway has been handed a new three-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Shirl's Nyammings & Jammings, a takeaway at 180 Plashet Grove, East Ham, London was given the score after assessment on November 10, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newham's 306 takeaways with ratings, 108 (35%) have ratings of five and just four have zero ratings.
