A Newham takeaway has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Kong Foo Wok, a takeaway at 221 Leytonstone Road, Stratford, London was given the maximum score after assessment on May 7, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newham's 324 takeaways with ratings, 117 (36%) have ratings of five and just five have zero ratings.
