A Newham restaurant has been handed a new zero-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Thiru Ananthapuram Restaurant, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 241a High Street North, Manor Park, London was given the minimum score after assessment on September 22, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newham's 598 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 369 (62%) have ratings of five and just seven have zero ratings.
