A Newham restaurant has been handed a new one-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Brown Sugar, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at Unit 5, Bawa Chownk, 92 Shaftesbury Road, Forest Gate was given the score after assessment on November 1, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Newham's 514 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 287 (56%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
