New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Thunderbird Fried Chicken Ltd, at 207 The Balcony, Westfield Stratford City, Montfichet Road, Stratford was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 3.

And Creams, at Unit 4b, Gateway Retail Park, Claps Gate Lane, Beckton was also given a score of five on September 21.

It means that of Newham's 592 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 366 (62%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
