New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Da Mac Burgers And Shakes, at 71 Plashet Road, Plaistow, London was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 7.

And East Burger Stratford, at 2 Alma Street, Stratford, London was given a score of one on May 2.

It means that of Newham's 319 takeaways with ratings, 115 (36%) have ratings of five and just four have zero ratings.
