New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Bees Kitchen, at 409 Katherine Road, Forest Gate, London was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on March 16.

And Smit Vegetarian, at 398 Romford Road, Forest Gate, London was given a score of zero on March 16.

It means that of Newham's 324 takeaways with ratings, 116 (36%) have ratings of five and just five have zero ratings.
