New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Al Zayt Limited, at 38 West Ham Lane, Stratford, London was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 16.

And Dar Marrakech, at 403 High Street, Stratford, London was given a score of one on October 16.

It means that of Newham's 606 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 374 (62%) have ratings of five and just six have zero ratings.
