New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Bombay Chowpatty, at 229 Green Street, Forest Gate, London was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on August 2.

And Imperial Project Smash Burger Mexicano, at 3 West Ham Lane, Stratford, London was given a score of two on August 2.

It means that of Newham's 334 takeaways with ratings, 148 (44%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
