New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Max's Grill Peri Peri, at 280 Barking Road, Plaistow, London was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on June 28.

And Pizzano Pizza, at 15 Balaam Street, Plaistow, London was given a score of three on July 24.

It means that of Newham's 330 takeaways with ratings, 142 (43%) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
