New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Awesome Burgers, at Silver Building, 60 Dock Road, Silvertown, London was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on May 5.

And Perfect Pizza, at 132 Upton Lane, Forest Gate, London was given a score of three on May 9.

It means that of Newham's 323 takeaways with ratings, 135 (42%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
