New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

K.O Kebabish Original, at 394 Barking Road, Plaistow, London was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 17.

And China Palace, at Unit R1, Warehouse K, 2 Western Gateway, Canning Town was also given a score of three on June 23.

It means that of Newham's 607 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 374 (62%) have ratings of five and just six have zero ratings.
