New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Cataleya Cakes Limited, at Flat, 129 High Street South, East Ham, London was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 27.

And Charminar Restaurant Ltd, at 88 Katherine Road, East Ham, London was given a score of two on July 27.

It means that of Newham's 597 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 365 (61%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
