New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Asia Villa, at 409 Katherine Road, Forest Gate, London was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 11.

And Don Rigos, at 9 Bidder Street, Canning Town, London was given a score of three on July 7.

It means that of Newham's 591 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 364 (62%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
