Bad news as food hygiene ratings handed to two Newham takeaways

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s bad news for them both.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Newham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s bad news for them both.

Precys Fried Chicken, at 178 Plashet Grove, East Ham, London was handed a zero-out-of-five rating after assessment on January 17.

And Super Taste, at 4 To 6 Carlton Terrace, Green Street, Forest Gate, London was also given a score of zero on January 17.

It means that of Newham's 344 takeaways with ratings, 158 (46%) have ratings of five and just seven have zero ratings.
