Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to five Merton restaurants

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five of Merton’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to five of Merton’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

The following ratings have been given to five restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: The Coffee Bloom at SM4 ; rated on July 6

• Rated 5: Commonside Community Cafe at Community Centre, New Horizon Centre, South Lodge Avenue, Mitcham; rated on July 4

• Rated 5: Starbucks Coffee at Plough Lane Retail Park, Plough Lane, Tooting, London; rated on June 30

• Rated 5: Jaffna Kitchen at 440 Durnsford Road, Wimbledon Park, London; rated on June 27

• Rated 5: The Lighthouse at 218-220 Grand Drive, Raynes Park; rated on June 27

It means that of Merton's 477 similar establishments with ratings, 382 (80%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
