Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to eight Merton establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight of Merton’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to seven restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Al Forno Restaurant at 2a Kings Road, Wimbledon, London; rated on August 31

• Rated 5: Cafe Mori at 68 The Broadway, London; rated on August 31

• Rated 5: Kokoro Morden at 52 London Road, Morden; rated on August 30

• Rated 5: The Olive Grove at 25 Leopold Road, Wimbledon; rated on August 30

• Rated 5: STARBUCKS COFFEE COMPANY at Unit 10, Tandem Centre, Tandem Way, Colliers Wood; rated on August 25

• Rated 5: La Moda London at 259 Burlington Road, New Malden; rated on August 24

• Rated 5: Morden Hall at 21 Morden Hall Road, Morden; rated on August 16
