New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Merton’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Merton’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Oysters, at 154 London Road, Mitcham was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on June 21.

And Taste of China, at 241 Northborough Road, Streatham, London was also given a score of four on June 21.

It means that of Merton's 126 takeaways with ratings, 72 (57%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
