New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Merton’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Samrat Tandoori Restaurant, at 309 Mitcham Road, Tooting, London was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 16.

And Tiger Top, at 340 Kingston Road, Raynes Park was given a score of three on February 16.

It means that of Merton's 472 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 374 (79%) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
