A Lewisham takeaway has been handed a new four-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

THE COMMUNIST KEBAB, a takeaway at 492 New Cross Road, London was given the score after assessment on September 7, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Lewisham's 283 takeaways with ratings, 93 (33%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
