A Lewisham restaurant has been handed a new zero-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Kerala Gardens Ltd t/a Madras Rest, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 244 Lewisham High Street, Hither Green, London was given the minimum score after assessment on July 14, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Lewisham's 588 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 352 (60%) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
