New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Lewisham’s takeaways, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Downham Kebab, at 458 Bromley Road, London was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 28.

And Top Hut Pizza & Chicken, at 403 Hither Green Lane, Hither Green, London was also given a score of four on July 28.

It means that of Lewisham's 342 takeaways with ratings, 145 (42%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
