Kingston's motorists will have two road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Kingston's motorists will have two road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause severe delays – with drivers facing a holdup of at least 30 minutes. Another will cause moderate delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

A3, from 10pm October 2 to 5am October 4, severe delays (more than 30 minutes): A3 southbound, Kinsgston Bypass to Esher, carriageway closure for cyclic maintenance works on TLRN. No TM on NH but no access from TLRN.

A3, from 10pm October 4 to 5am October 6, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A3 northbound, Esher to Kingston Bypass, Lane closures for cyclical maintenance works on TLRN.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
