A Kingston restaurant has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.

Red Lion Cafe, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 173 Red Lion Road, Surbiton was given the maximum score after assessment on January 13, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.

It means that of Kingston's 350 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 220 (63%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
