New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Kingston’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Costa Coffee, at Unit L15 Lower Ground Floor, The Bentall Centre, Wood Street, Kingston Upon Thames was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on November 30.

And Imperial Cakes By Theo, at 46 Fairfield South, Kingston Upon Thames was also given a score of five on November 27.

It means that of Kingston's 406 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 254 (63%) have ratings of five and just three have zero ratings.
