Good news as food hygiene ratings given to 12 Kensington and Chelsea establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to 12 of Kensington and Chelsea’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to nine restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Joe & The Juice Gloucester Road at 74 Gloucester Road, London; rated on March 21

• Rated 5: Over Under Coffee at Unit 14 Gloucester Road Arcade, 128 Gloucester Road, London; rated on March 21

• Rated 5: Polpo at 81 Duke Of York Square, London; rated on March 21

• Rated 5: 202 Cafe at 202-204 Westbourne Grove, London; rated on March 18

• Rated 5: Maze Grill Park Walk at 11 Park Walk, London; rated on March 18

• Rated 5: Cheeky Scone at 43 Pembridge Road, London; rated on March 17

• Rated 5: Caffe Concerto at 88-90 Kensington High Street, London; rated on March 16

• Rated 5: The Ledbury at Basement And Ground Floor, 127 Ledbury Road, London; rated on March 15
