Good news as food hygiene ratings awarded to eight Kensington and Chelsea establishments

A Food Standards Agency rating sticker on a window of a restaurant in central London. A huge variation in food hygiene standards remains across the UK, with one in five high or medium-risk food outlets failing to meet standards, according to a study.

New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to eight of Kensington and Chelsea’s establishments, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them all.

Restaurants, cafes and canteens

The following ratings have been given to seven restaurants, cafes or canteens:

• Rated 5: Premier Inns at 22-32 West Cromwell Road, London; rated on October 4

• Rated 5: Notting Hill Coffee Shop at 63 Notting Hill Gate, London; rated on October 3

• Rated 5: The MANTL at 142 Brompton Road, London; rated on October 3

• Rated 5: Trevi Tiramisu at 29 Bute Street, London; rated on October 3

• Rated 5: Nando's at 229-231 Kensington High Street, London; rated on September 29

• Rated 5: Pret a Manger at 99 Gloucester Road, London; rated on September 29

• Rated 5: Knoops at 199 Portobello Road, London; rated on September 21
