40 further coronavirus cases and two more deaths recorded in Kensington and Chelsea
The number of coronavirus cases in Kensington and Chelsea increased by 40 in the last 24 hours, official figures show – and two more deaths were recorded.
A total of 14,790 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 in Kensington and Chelsea when the UK coronavirus daily dashboard was updated on September 21 (Tuesday), up from 14,750 on Monday.

Hide AdThe rate of infection in Kensington and Chelsea now stands at 9,429 cases per 100,000 people, lower than the England average of 11,315.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 31,095 over the period, to 7,496,543.
There were also two more coronavirus deaths recorded in the latest 24-hour period in Kensington and Chelsea.
The dashboard shows 220 people had died in the area by September 21 (Tuesday) – up from 218 on Monday.

Hide AdIt means there have been two deaths in the past week, which is an increase on none the previous week.
They were among 16,305 deaths recorded across London.
The figures include anyone who died within 28 days of a positive test result for Covid-19, and whose usual residence was in Kensington and Chelsea.
Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death.
The figures also show that more than half of people in Kensington and Chelsea have received two doses of a Covid-19 vaccine.

Hide AdThe latest figures show 91,547 people had received both jabs by September 20 (Monday) – 52% of those aged 16 and over, based on the number of people on the National Immunisation Management Service database.
Across England, 82% of people aged 16 and above had received a second dose of the jab.
Unlike at local level, the national rate was calculated using mid-2020 population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.
