New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Islington’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Black Velvet, at 85 Parkhurst Road, London, N7 0lp was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 3.

And Mihan, at Ground Floor, 104 Highbury Park, London was given a score of two on October 3.

It means that of Islington's 959 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 462 (48%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
