New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Islington’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

FIRIN, at 140 York Way, London, N1 0ax was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on July 3.

And The Foxglove, at 209-211 Liverpool Road, London, N1 1lx was given a score of four on September 8.

It means that of Islington's 966 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 462 (48%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
