New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Islington’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Oriental Gourmet, at Ground Floor, 123 Holloway Road, Islington was handed a three-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 27.

And Hamer Ethiopian Restaurant, at 1b-1c Rock Street, Islington, London was given a score of two on February 27.

It means that of Islington's 969 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 447 (46%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
