New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Islington’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Marathon Restaurant, at 193a Caledonian Road, Islington, London was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on April 17.

And Double Knot Cafe, at 30 Duncan Street, Islington, London was given a score of one on April 17.

It means that of Islington's 965 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 453 (47%) have ratings of five and just two have zero ratings.
