New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Islington’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.

Lexington @ Virgin Active Islington, at 333 Goswell Road, Islington, London was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on February 15.

And JJ Family Special Vietnamese Cuisine, at Unit 4 And 5 Nags Head Covered Market, 22 Seven Sisters Road, Islington was given a score of four on January 12.

It means that of Islington's 970 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 441 (45%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
