Road closures: six for Hounslow drivers this week

Drivers in and around Hounslow will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M4, from 10pm May 9 to 5am May 26, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3 to junction 2, carriageway, lane and entry slip road closures for barrier repair works, diversion via local authority network.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

• M4, from 10pm May 15 to 5am May 19, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3 to junction 4, carriageway, lane and entry slip road closures for gantry inspection works, diversion local authority network and M4, junction 2, (HA_DR26).

• A312, from 10pm May 18 to 5am May 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closures for Speed / Red X Enforcement Camera maintenance - Recertification (M4 2236A).

• A30, from 11pm May 19 to 6am May 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A30 westbound, Clockhouse roundabout to Crooked Billet roundabout, Lane closure for maintenance works.

• M4, from 10pm May 22 to 5am May 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 3, mobile lane closures for Met Police for calibration of HADECS safety cameras.

• M4, from 10pm May 24 to 5.30am May 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closures for Smart Motorways.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
