Road closures: four for Hounslow drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Hounslow will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause severe delays – with motorists facing a wait of at least 30 minutes. Another two will cause moderate delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M4, from 10pm August 29 to 5am September 3, severe delays (more than 30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3 to Heston Services, hard shoulder and exit slip road closure for electrical maintenance works.

M4, from 10pm August 30 to 6am September 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3 to junction 2, Lane closure for vegetation works.

M4, from 10pm September 4 to 5am September 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 southbound, junction 1 to junction 3, carriageway and entry slip road closure for maintenance works, diversion via local authority network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
