Hounslow's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Hounslow's motorists will have seven road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause severe delays – with drivers facing a holdup of at least 30 minutes. Another five will cause moderate delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M4, from 10pm August 29 to 5am September 3, severe delays (more than 30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3 to Heston Services, hard shoulder and exit slip road closure for electrical maintenance works.

M4, from 10pm August 30 to 6am September 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3 to junction 2, Lane closure for vegetation works.

M4, from 10.30pm September 3 to 5.30am September 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 1 to junction 3, carriageway closure and slip road closures for gantry painting, diversion via TFL roads.

M4, from 10pm September 4 to 5am September 9, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 northbound, junction 3 to junction 1, carriageway and entry slip roads closure for maintenance works, diversion via local authority network.

M4, from 10pm September 9 to 5.30am September 10, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 2 to junction 4, Lane closures and slip road closure for survey, diversion via National Highways roads.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
