Hounslow road closures: four for motorists to avoid this week

Hounslow's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And one of them is expected to cause severe delays – with drivers facing a wait of at least 30 minutes. Another two will cause moderate delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M4, from 10pm October 17 to 5am October 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3 to junction Heston Services, Hard shoulder closure and exit slip road closure for electrical works, diversion via National Highways Roads.

M4, from 5am September 27 to 10pm October 22, severe delays (more than 30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3 to junction 1, 24/7 Lane closure for Structure works.

And a further two closures will begin over the next seven days:

M4, from 10.30pm October 23 to 5.30am October 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3 to junction 1, carriageway closure for TM installation for TfL structural works.

M4, from 10.30pm October 23 to 5.30am October 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 2 to junction 3, Lane closures for drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
