Hounslow road closures: four for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Hounslow's motorists will have four road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

• M4, from 10pm January 8 to 5am January 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4 to junction 2, Lane closures, slip closures and carriageway closure for barrier repairs, diversion via TFL roads.

• M4, from 10pm January 10 to 5.30am January 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 2 to junction 3, Lane closures for drainage works.

• M4, from 10pm January 15 to 5am January 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 2 to junction 1, entry slip road closure for barrier repairs, diversion via TFL roads.

• M4, from 10pm January 22 to 5.30am January 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction three to junction 1, Lane, carriageway, entry and exit slip road closure for improvement works, diversion via local authority networks.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
