Hounslow road closures: five for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

Hounslow's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

Hounslow's motorists will have five road closures to avoid nearby on the National Highways network this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with drivers facing holdups of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M4, from 10pm September 10 to 5.30am September 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 1 to junction 3, carriageway closure for gantry painting, diversion via A4, A312 to rejoin at J3.

M4, from 10.30pm September 10 to 6am September 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3 to junction 1, Lane, carriageway and entry slip roads closures for gantry painting works, diversion via local authority network.

And a further three closures will begin over the next two weeks:

M4, from 10pm September 11 to 6am September 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3 to junction 2, Lane closures for vegetation works.

M4, from 10pm September 18 to 6am September 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3 to junction 2, Lane closure for vegetation works.

M4, from 10pm September 18 to 5.30am September 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 3 to junction Heston Services, hard shoulder, entry and exit slip road closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
