Road closures: six for Hillingdon drivers this week

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

M4, from 10pm October 17 to 5.30am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 3 to junction 4B, Lane closures for M4 SMP technology works.

A40, from 11pm October 17 to 6am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A40 northbound to M40 northbound, junction 1, Lane closures for maintenance work.

M25, from 12.02am June 1 2022 to 11.59pm June 1 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

M25, from 10pm October 19 to 5.30am October 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 anti clockwise, junction 15 to M4, junction 4B, link road closure and lane closures for M4 SMP technology and sign works, diversion via National Highways roads.

A40, from 9pm October 31 to 6am November 1, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 1a to junction 1, Lane closures for maintenance works.

M4, from 10pm October 31 to 5am November 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound and westbound, junction 4, Lane closures for asset inspections.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
