Road closures: six for Hillingdon drivers this week

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M25, from 12.02am June 1 2022 to 11.59pm June 1 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

M4, from 10pm October 4 to 5am October 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 4, Lane closures for asset inspections.

M40, from 9.30pm October 7 to 6am October 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 northbound, junction 1 to junction 1a, Lane closure for maintenance work.

M25, from 10pm October 8 to 5.30am October 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 14 to junction 15, Lane closures for drainage works.

A40, from 9pm October 12 to 6am October 13, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 1a to junction 1, Lane closures for maintenance works.

A40, from 11pm October 17 to 6am October 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A40 northbound to M40 northbound, junction 1, Lane closures for maintenance work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
