Road closures: six for Hillingdon drivers this week

Drivers in and around Hillingdon will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And four of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M25, from 12.02am June 1 2022 to 11.59pm June 1 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M25 clockwise, junction 15, Hard shoulder closure for CAT 1 embankment erosion.

And a further five closures will begin over the next seven days:

M4, from 10pm August 30 to 5.30am August 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 5 to junction 4b, carriageway and entry slip road closures for construction works, diversion via National Highways network and local authority networks.

M25, from 10pm August 30 to 5.30am August 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 4b to junction 5, carriageway and link road closures for construction works, diversion via National Highways and local authority networks (M25 to J14, A3113 eastbound, A3044 northbound, A4 westbound to re-join M4 at J5).

M25, from 10pm September 1 to 5.30am September 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M25 clockwise and anti-clockwise, junction 15, carriageway, link and entry slip road closures for Smart Motorways, diversion via local authority and National Highways network.

M4, from 10pm September 1 to 5.30am September 2, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 northbound and westbound, junction 3 to junction 4b, carriageway and entry slip road closure for Smart Motorways works, diversion via local authority network and National Highways network.

A40, from 9pm September 2 to 5am September 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M40 southbound, junction 1a to M25 AandB, link road closure for maintenance work, diversion via National Highways Network.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
